This was during my formation years of getting into video production and making creative ideas into reality. The time when I realized my love of filmmaking and how gruelling it can be.
Making a music video out of the cover of a song is a bit odd but well the idea I think was good. There was no way Neetesh Jung Kunwar was ever hiring us to make a music video. I don't remember who concieved the idea for doing it, maybe it was the nepfleek guys, their friend Zigme had recorded a cover of Gedai Jasto Jindagi. Abhishek Khatiwada bhai and I came up with the video concept and Bishal Timalsina bhai got in as the actor.
This was the first time I had filmed a drama or a music video, till then I had only made comedy skits. It took a month to make it, this was also the first time I came face to face with being involved in a 'team'. Motivation was an issue and there was no real 'leader' to lead the project. Even talking about it using terms like 'team', 'leader' and 'project' sounds stupid to me as it was just a bunch of guys making something they thought was cool. There was no need to make it or finish it. But it did give me an inkling into why big productions have such structured processes, scheduling and contracts.
Anyways, it's a really nice time to look back to and such a nice video to watch still. This highlights the stupid things we got up to in the college days.
